Cold Times Require New Heroes

1961 was a testy time. The Cold War, Bay of Pigs, and JFK’s encouragement for families to build bomb shelters made for an unsettling year. It was the perfect opportunity for a hero. A new hero. One with rock-like skin to deflect missiles, a great sense of humor to put others at ease, and a great battle cry to be remembered by……

The Thing (aka Benjamin Jacob “Ben” Grimm) was introduced in November 1961 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in The Fantastic Four #1. With his rough exterior and baby blues, The Thing went on to become one of the most popular comic book heroes of all time.

If you know of other Thing or Fantastic Four Action Figures, add them to the Collector-ActionFigures Catalog. If you have photos, reviews, video reviews, add them too!

Happy Movember!

It’s that time of year again: crisp air, changing leaves, and lots and lots of….facial hair. That’s right, the month of “Movember” has begun! For those of you unfamiliar with the term, Movember is a yearly moustache growing charity event that raises funds and awareness for men’s health.

In homage to this worthy cause, we’ve bookmarked a selection of facial hair laden figures on DASH who we think would approve of this month's theme. Click here to view, sell, or purchase some. If you know of others, please add them to the catalog. To learn more about Movember, visit www.movember.com

DASH iPhone app - Free in iTunes App Store now

An update to our iPhone app just went live in the iTunes App Store. The update improves photo handling and has compatibility with the latest OS versions from Apple.

The biggest change is that the app is now FREE. Any registered user of DASH can install the app for free and use it to look up figures from the 40,000+ Catalog. Look at great photos, etc.

Users that have upgraded their membership to the DASH Collector's Club can also sync their collection and wanted list to the phone. They can add/remove figures from their collection on the device, and they can quickly and easily upload photos from their iPhone to their online collection.

Unfortunately, Apple doesn't tell us which of our users had purchased the previous version, so we couldn't be proactive with our communications with these users. If you had purchased the first version of the iPhone app, please send an email to info@collectordash.com to learn details of a very special offer we have for you as we transition to having a free version of the app.

Thanks!
